Alb(L)um is the fuzzy/squelchy/feverdream follow up to last summer’s The Move EP.

Tim took a new approach (new to him anyhow) to writing and recording this record. Part improvisation and part random chance Alb(L)um’s key components were created by running percussive and melodic sequences through a synthesizer hooked up to various boutique guitar pedals. Tim created a sound bank of sorts to mine for sonic gold. Approximately 50 separate five to ten minute tracks of sequences were recorded as Tim manipulated the various parameters of the synthesizer and guitar pedals mentioned above. After a robust library of sounds was created Tim scoured each track and sliced out sections he liked and then built songs around the selected sequences.

Tim also sampled sections from the Dan Harmon and My Mom part 2 episodes of Duncan Trussel’s family hour podcast as well as the Money Episode of The Meditation Podcast by Jesse and Jean Stern.
